Private Bank - Human Resources Director
Human Resources Director - based Central London
Search
The Brief
The bank had been a significant client for us over a number of years and we had previously recruited a Chief Operating Officer for them through the combined use of search and advertised selection. When the incumbent Human Resources Director took maternity leave it was decided to bring in a long term interim to cover for the role. It was a particularly demanding time for the bank and given the timescales involved it was decided to commence a search.
Our Approach
The lead consultants involved in this project were Mark Wheatley and Andrew Fisher.
The initial search focused on other private banks and asset management firms and we quickly met with a number of suitably qualified individuals. It was important that the new hire had the skills to manage an established team and to influence and engage with the Board.
The Result
The Director joined within a month of the assignment start date and he remained in place for over a year before reducing his time spent in-line with the changing demands and resources of the business. Although an interim contract arrangement was agreed, in this instance we invoiced on a fixed fee monthly basis as opposed to be being day-rate focused.
