The Brief
We had recently recruited a Finance Director for this client and were then approached to find another senior executive.  The role was for an experienced director who could be termed a ‘Corporate Entrepreneur’.  This is someone who is used to working in a corporate and controlled environment where reporting / control and management discipline is needed - but it is also someone with the flair and initiative to build and inspire a company from the ground up.

Our Approach
The lead consultant involved in this project was Andrew Fisher.
Having considered the various recruitment options it was decided that a combined approach would be the most efficient use of time and resource.  We drew up a target list and also pursued the advertising route through the Sunday Times.
The volume and quality of the response lengthened the usual time taken but together with data gathering and research and approach activity we were still able to deliver within the original timescales agreed.

The Result
The shortlist provided an excellent choice of six senior executives.  The client met all six initially at our London offices and then proceeded with the top three to a final stage meeting.
A successful appointment was made, the business was launched and has continued to develop further.  We have also been more recently involved in hiring a Sales and Marketing Manager for the group, for which Simon Childs is taking the lead consultant’s role.
