The Brief
Parkwell have been a supporter of this Charity for many years and in that time we have recruited a Chief Executive, a Finance Director and a Director of Fundraising.  We had recruited the previous Head of IT some seven years previous.  She had decided to move on and the Chief Executive briefed us on finding a replacement.  The role had all the technical and managerial requirements expected of this level together with an international impact and a strong sense of ‘giving something back’.

Our Approach
The lead consultants involved in this project were Simon Childs and Andrew Fisher.
The Charity’s brand could best be exploited through the use of advertising and we chose the Times on a Thursday to provide the most suitable response.  Having sifted more than seventy applications we met with twelve candidates before selecting the top six to meet with the client.  The recruitment process worked to the required time scales and budget and the individual started as planned.

The Result
The new Head of IT has been an extremely successful appointment.
We charged a reduced fee rate given their charitable status.  This was then fixed irrespective of final salary and ‘weighted’ towards successful completion.
