Catalogue Shopping and Distribution Group - Business Project Managers

Business Project Managers – based Manchester
Advertised Selection

The Brief
Our previous work for the group included recruitment of more than sixty finance staff and a number of senior procurement personnel. In this instance the brief was to consider how best to recruit a team of project managers and change-drivers to help with the integration of their two retail businesses.

Our Approach
The lead consultants involved in this project were Mark Wheatley and Andrew Fisher.
We scoped the project and determined the best solution would be based upon advertising, in the Sunday Times and Manchester Evening News. Over the turn of the year we administered the response of several hundred candidates and interviewed eighty of the most suitable qualified people.

The Result
The project resulted in the rolling recruitment of eleven key people into the business. The first candidate joined within three months of our being assigned and the last joined within six months.
We charged a Consultancy day-rate for our services along with a small completion fee per candidate. The project was cost effective, delivering results at an overall fee level of just below 15% of the overall salary bill.
